AWARDED MULTIPLE PATENTS LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – August 1, 2006 – Telemac Corporation, the global leader in network-edge real-time accounting and billing technologies for the wireless industry, announced today that it has been awarded additional patents and allowances in the United States, Korea, India, and the Philippines. The United States Patent Office has issued Patent No. 7,058,386 (the ‘386 patent) to Telemac, covering systems to facilitate programming phones throughout the distribution chain, including simultaneously programming multiple phones such as prepaid phones, credit-limit phones, and phones that store call detail information. The ‘386 patent is Telemac’s 13th U.S. patent. The Korean Patent Office has issued Telemac its second Korean patent (Korean Patent No. 573532), covering a network-edge prepaid wireless system. This patent, the counterpart to Telemac's U.S. Patent No. 6,480,710, complements Telemac's previous Korean patent (Korean Patent No. 419109). The features of these inventions are included in Telemac Prepaid Technology®. The Indian Patent Office has granted Telemac an allowance for a patent covering a method and system to determine a charge for a data communication session between a network and a wireless device. The invention includes a data-rating application that resides in the wireless device. The features of this invention are included in Telemac ABS™ technology. The Philippines Patent Office has granted Telemac an allowance for a patent covering a system for metering and rating a wireless data communication session, which is a counterpart to Telemac's U.S. Patent No. 6,725,031. The system includes a data-rating application that resides in a router connecting a wireless device to a network. The features of this invention are included in Telemac ABS™ technology. Kenin M.
